The
grapefruit was once known as the "forbidden fruit" of Barbados. It was developed in Jamaica in the 18th century. The Ruby Red version was the first variety patented in 1929. This grapefruit from Texas is the newer Rio Star variety. The best part of today's photo project, eating the subject after shooting. Canon 7D, 1/250 sec @ f/4.0, ISO 200, 50mm macro.
