At the Gate

From 2010 Blog
Waiting at the gate at the Jacksonville airport as reflected in the front element of the 70-200 zoom lens on my DSLR. JAX is a pretty cool airport, well as much as an airport can be cool. I'll probably share a few more shots I took using the gear combination captured in this photo in future posts. Canon G10, 1/80 sec @ f/3.2, ISO 400 in macro mode.

Is this a 100% crop? It's a cool shot, just has that special digital noise.

I'm intimidated about shooting in airports...too conspicuous. I always feel like I'll be hassled by security.

I cropped this one to create the square photo. I'd say it's about 70% of the captured frame. I have taken pictures in the gate and concourse areas many times without being hassled. Of course no shots near any security check points. I usually just try and focus on an interesting architectural feature or other element.

Nice shot! I don't remember JAX being this cool.
