The French Bakery & Deli! is a Norfolk institution located on Granby Street just before the Lafayette River bridge in the Riverfront neighborhood commercial district. I visit every year for a small, yet very expensive holiday fruit cake that's the best in town. Famous for their hot pastrami sandwich and notorious for their pricing, there seems to be no middle ground among online reviewers - you either love it or hate it.
