Yummy - Day 14 #CY365

Today challenge: "Yummy". This is ginger pear white iced tea at the Chartreuse Bistro. Chartreuse is a locally owned organic farm to table European bistro located in the historic district in downtown Norfolk, Virginia. The menu is different every day based on what's fresh and available. They make these wonderful and different iced teas and flavored sodas every day. All I can say is Yummy! iPhone 5, 1/20 sec @ f/2.8, ISO 320, Camera+ App.

Ice Cold Tea

- A glass of ice cold tea a southern tradition. We had dinner tonight at the No Frill Grill in Norfolk, Virginia and sat on the open patio. It was a glorious evening and the late afternoon sun was nicely illuminating Cindy's ice tea. She was kind of enough to wait for me to take the picture, actually five, before having a drink. I really appreciate the way she suffers for my art. Droid X camera phone in macro mode, no flash.

Playmobil Penguins

- My grandson Robert knows that I like penguins so when he went to Toysrus today with Cindy he didn't just think of himself, he had her buy this Playmobil Penguin set just for me. So I thought I'd set it up with some crushed ice and take a picture of the penguin family just for Robert. Hey little Buddy, thanks for thinking of me today. 135 - Ice, Ice Baby!

From 365 Project
No it's not diamonds, it's really ice, you know the cold stuff. We were visiting a Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian home recently and they had an 1940's refrigerator with the old aluminum style ice trays. The docent told us kids have no concept of making ice in ice trays. One even asked what the recipe for ice was. So the ice machines have it.
