97 - Sail Rail

From 365 Project
The new Valley Metro Light Rail sails into a station near the Phoenix airport. The new light rail line began service in December 2008 and like other light rail lines across the country it is a huge success. Canon G10, 2 second exposure at f/8.0, ISO 100, 11mm equivalent focal length, mounted on a Joby Gorillapod SLR and fired with a wired remote.

96 - Taliesin West

From 365 Project
This was the original water tower at Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West complex in Scottsdale Arizona. The complex served as the winter home for Wright and his family as well as the entire Taliesin Fellowship. Water was taken from a deep well Wright had installed in the mid 1930's and was stored in an elevated tank to provide water pressure for the complex. Canon G10, 1/250s at f/8.0, ISO 100. See more of my pictures from Taliesin West.

95 - Wild Blue Yonder

From 365 Project
It was raining below in Georgia but high above the clouds at 35,000 feet the sky was deep blue over a sea of puffy white. Canon G10, 1/800s at f/7.1, ISO 100, shot through the plane window.

94 - Rose Garden Promise

From 365 Project
It was a beautiful day for weddings at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. There were two weddings in progress while we there and this couple was illuminated by the late afternoon sun while taking their vows in the Bicentennial Rose Garden gazebo. Canon 40D, 1/250s at F/10, ISO 200, focal length 285mm.

93 - Fountainhead

From 365 Project
Aeration fountains are fairly common sights around suburban parking lots. Back lit by the late afternoon sun this one caught my eye. Canon G10, 1/2500s at f/8.0, ISO 200, 72mm effective focal length, -2 stops exposure adjustment.

92 - Lost Spokes

From 365 Project
A row of unclaimed bicycles await their fate near my parking space at work. Many bikes are left on bus racks each week. If you left your bike recently on a Hampton Roads Transit bus, it may be one of these. Lost and found procedures can be found here. Canon G10, 1/60s at f/6.0, ISO 400, 11mm effective focal length. Converted to B&W using Silver Efex Pro in Photoshop Elements 6.0.

91 - Thomas the Light

From 365 Project
My grandson attended the Thomas & Friends Live show last night and he came away with this nifty little souvenir. It's a small clear plastic ball with a spinning set of changing LED lights. He demonstrated it for me so I could make today's blog post photo. Canon G10, 1/100s @f/3.2, ISO 800 in macro mode.
