The Downtown Font of Knowledge

The Virginian-Pilot Building at 150 Bramleton Avenue in Norfolk Virginia home to the paper's editorial team, a.k.a "the downtown font of knowledge." The 1937 building designed by Finlay F. Ferguson, Sr. is an excellant example of Art Deco stripped classical mode made popular nationwide by Philadelphia architect Paul P. Cret. It radiates the strength and power of the press. Sherlock is one happy cat. We set up this tree in the living room, put a bunch of shinny balls on it and then to top it off placed this nice soft red blanket underneath just for him.

The Winter Carnival at Norfolk Virginia's MacArthur Center is a new addition this year along with the popular MacArthur on Ice public ice skating rink. It sure makes for a nice scene during the deep purple sky of twilight.
