Light Speed?

From 2010 Blog
This is a 4 second exposure of a tractor trailer riding in the lane next to me in the HRBT this afternoon. The blurry effect reminded me of a jump to lightspeed. You know us serious photographers, when we take a blurry picture it is always intentional. Canon 7D, 4 seconds @ f/8.0, ISO 200, 50 mm prime lens, camera on dash triggered with a wireless remote.

Great photo! This is always what it looks like to me when one of those huge tractor trailers roar by when I'm driving!!

It looks like I feel when those trucks are racing beside me in the tube. I sure hope the photographer was the passenger and not the driver.

Thanks for the comments. When taking in-car pictures I mount the camera, in this case using a Monsterpod on the dash, set the exposure before departing and fire the camera with a remote shutter release. You can tell how rough the ride was as the vibrations show up in the long exposure.
