- This sculpture by Daniel Chester French, famous sculptor of seated Abraham Lincoln at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., is located at the front of the historic Beaux-Arts masterpiece that is the Howard M. Metzenbaum U.S. Courthouse in Cleveland. Entitled "Commerce" it depictes a female figure holding a model ship in one hand while her other arm rests on a globe representing the opportunity for world trade. From 365 Project The Air Force Memorial in glows against low hanging clouds and mist. Located on a promontory in Arlington, Virginia, overlooking the Pentagon and adjacent to Arlington Cemetery, the memorial's three 270 feet tall stainless arcs evoke the spirit of flight.
